Class Offering: Maintaining Capital Assets

Did you know MSU has more than 19,000 pieces of movable capital equipment? Users assigned the Capital Asset Management (CAM) Processor role in the Kuali Financial System (KFS) are responsible for maintaining their organization’s asset records through the life cycle of their capital assets.

You must register in EBS to attend.

When you complete this program, you will learn:
  • How capital assets are defined
  • What documents to use for maintaining asset records
  • How to pull Business Intelligence (BI) reports for asset inventory and receive an annual inventory request
  • Overview of the Capital Asset tab on the requisition and financial processing documents
  • How to dispose of equipment
  • How to record non-capital equipment

If you have the Role 6 - Organization CAM Processor role in KFS, and/or are assigned duties associated with monitoring and tracking assets, this class is for you! It is also recommended for fiscal officers.
