Below are answers to Pcard renewal frequently asked questions.

When will my replacement card arrive?
Replacement cards will be sent to your fiscal officer in the next week or so. Contact your fiscal officer if you don’t receive your replacement card by July 31. Your current card is valid through July 31, 2017 unless the expiration date printed on the current card says otherwise.

What do I do when my new card arrives?

Activate your card by calling the number on the sticker located on the front of your card (888-233-8855). You will be prompted to:

  1. Enter the last four digits of your card number
  2. Select a PIN number. You were assigned a random PIN number when your original card was issued but you now have the option to choose your own PIN number. Select option “1” to change your PIN, select option “2” to retain your existing PIN.
  3. Provide your verification code (50357XXXX with the X’s being the last four digits of your social security number).
  4. Remember to sign the back of your new card.

What do I do with my old card?
After you have activated your new card, cut up and dispose of your old card.

What if the address on my new card is wrong or my name changed and is incorrect on my new card?
The cards were created using the name and address on record for you in the Pcard Maintenance Table in KFS. Check to see if your name and/or mailing address is correct in the Pcard Maintenance Table. Update your information as needed.

What if I received or my department received cards that are not ours?
Please either look the person up in MSU People Search and send the card to the correct address or send the card back to the Pcard Team (169 Service Rd).

What else do I need to remember?

  1. Notify any automatic payment providers of your new card information.
  2. If you or the bank reported fraudulent activity or a potential merchant breach on your card, you may have already been sent a replacement card with the new expiration date (7/2020).
  3. If you have received a new Pcard within the past month or so, it should have the 7/2020 expiration date so you won’t receive a replacement card at this time.
If you have any questions, please email the Pcard Team or call 517-884-6080.
